December 19,2008

The title is the date of one of the best days of my life that is yet to come. Graduation is something I have looked forward to since I have started college back in 2004. hahaha...that makes it sound like it was forever ago, well it has felt like forever to me. I just know that I am happy and proud to be getting my degree in four years, what an accomplishment, to say the least. College has definitely had it's ups and downs, but I will be happy when I will no longer have to be enrolled...well, at least for a little while. I do plan on getting my masters and a few other things but why do it now...I need a break and that's what I'm gonna take. So if anyone wants to hang out the month of Dec. or Jan. I'm down. I am hoping for a long-term sub job to fall into place and it would be from February to May(nothing is for sure yet). Student teaching has definitely been a learning experience...can't say that I have enjoyed every minute of it, but I have taken it all in and used it as just that, a learning experience. Like college, it has had the ups and the downs. I start my two week total teach next week and I am super excited and scared all at once. I can do it! I just lack confidence these days with doing the right thing and saying the right thing...I mean come on, this education stuff is pretty serious, not something you want to take lightly like ever. I am pleased with my school as well as my cooperating teacher and I am going to miss this time in my life because I have learned so much and laughed so hard. These kiddos rock my socks off...you would not believe the things they come up with. Not a day goes by that I am not amazed by one of them. Children bring so much joy into my life. It sort of makes me want to have my own one day. lol. We will be blessed with them one day I hope, just not anytime too soon. So...I have 4 weeks left of student teaching and 54 days left until I graduate. Wow!!! WOW!!! wow!!! man, I can hardly wait. I have so much to do in so little time. I hope you all have a great week and that you learn something new in your life's journey. oh, sorry I have not updated this in so long, life sure gets busy in the real world. :) God Bless

This comment is going to make me sound old but there's lots of truth in it...
Don't wish your life away always waiting for the next thing. Enjoy the now before it slips by.
